Moosey's Monthly Round-Up - February 2012

Welcome to the first Moosey's Monthly Round-Up! I am totally stealing this idea from Juanita's Cocina (thanks Jen!). The difference is I don't blog enough weekly, so I'm making it monthly. The purpose of the round-up is to highlight what I've been up to the past month and share five recipes from other foodies (had to limit bc I find too many!) Shall we begin?

Pennsylvania Dutch Potato Salad - Inspired by the Amish, this potato salad has mustard, bacon, and cider vinegar. Wish I had some right now!

Tuesdays with Dorie is back for Round Two, starting with a White Loaf. I'm not one to eat sandwiches, but I think this loaf may change my mind.

I learned how to flambe for the first time and made Banana Rum Sauce. Seriously, it was so easy to make. I'm going to make this again but use it on rum cake instead.

I didn't have a Valentine this year, so instead of pouting, I baked up these Red Velvet Mug Cookies.

I was invited to Sunday Supper, so I brought along some Banana Cupcakes. Very moist (and versatile too!) I even had one of my Twitter friends make this recipe and enjoyed them as well.

I gained a few pounds making Chocolate Truffle Tartlets for Tuesdays with Dorie.

I discovered that indeed I do love caramel popcorn when it's homemade. I already made this twice and a coworker made it once for me.

And I shared my realization of life with you over some Jarlsberg Cheese Crackers. Unfortunately, I didn't win the scholarship for Eat, Write, Retreat. They were selected for Foodbuzz's Featured on Friday though!

Now for five recipes I've discovered:
